Baxter Voluntarily Recalls Clinimix E Injection

Deerfield, Ill.-based Baxter International has voluntarily recalled certain lots of Clinimix Injection and Clinimix E Injection parenteral nutrition products due to particular matter found in the solution.

Clinimix Injection and E Injection are premixed, sterile intravenous parenteral nutrition products used as a caloric and protein source.

If an affected lot is infused, the particulate matter could cause a blockage of blood vessels.
