Baxter has permanently recalled its Life2000 ventilation system due to a cybersecurity issue.

If left unattended, an unauthorized person could tamper with the device’s therapy settings or access its data, potentially compromising the system’s air delivery function, according to a Nov. 26 alert from the FDA.

As of April 10, no serious injuries or deaths related to the issue have been reported.
