APAS is an artificial intelligence technology that automates the imaging, analysis, interpretation and reporting of microbiology culture plates after incubation, according to a news release. The system allows for a faster diagnosis of infectious diseases.
“We believe APAS technology is going to make a significant difference to the efficiency of microbiology laboratories globally,” said Peter Bradley, general manger of Zurich-based Clever Culture Systems.
Clever Culture Systems will launch APAS in 2017.
