HCA Healthcare is one of the largest health systems in the U.S., providing care for millions of patients each year.

1. HCA Healthcare has 182 hospitals and 2,300 sites of care in 20 states and the United Kingdom.

2. HCA operates surgery centers, freestanding ERs, urgent care centers, diagnostic and imaging centers, walk-in clinics and physician clinics in addition to hospitals.

3. The health system employs more than 283,000 people, including more than 93,000 registered nurses.

4. HCA has around 35 million patient encounters annually, including 8.4 million emergency room visits.

5. HCA spent $3.3 billion on capital investment in 2021.

6. For the third quarter ending Sept. 30, HCA reported $14.97 billion revenue and net income of $1.13 billion.

7. HCA has more than 45,000 active and affiliated physicians.
