Cleveland Clinic has expanded its international patient services network into El Salvador, adding local representation in a market where it previously did not have an in-country presence.
Nuria Sabater will serve as a liaison between patients in El Salvador and Cleveland Clinic’s hospitals and outpatient facilities in the U.S., Canada, the United Arab Emirates and the U.K., according to a June 15 health system news release.
Ms. Sabater joins a network of Cleveland Clinic representatives operating in 17 markets. The representatives help connect patients to virtual consultations, second opinions, follow-up care and in-person treatment across the health system’s global locations.
They also connect local medical professionals with Cleveland Clinic’s education and training opportunities and support relationships with philanthropic and strategic partners, the release said.
Cleveland Clinic employs more than 83,000 people worldwide and operates 23 hospitals and more than 300 outpatient facilities, according to the release.
