The new Institute for Lean Healthcare Strategies will teach healthcare leaders and staff both within and outside Scott & White how to use Lean practices to reach goals delineated in CMS’ Triple Aim: enhanced patient care, improved population health and reduced healthcare cost. ILHS will provide strategic planning, measurement, analysis and knowledge management and process management.
Steve Hoeft, the developer and principle instructor for key courses in the Lean Healthcare, New Product Development and Manufacturing certificate program at the University of Michigan, will serve as CEO of ILHS, according to the release.
