The branding change is intended to reflect the organization’s growth in services and geography. Having the standard “Gundersen” name will help patients identify the health system in their communities, according to the news release.

Although the health system is dropping “Lutheran” from its name, its Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse will retain the name.
Gundersen Health System will phase in the new name over time, according to the release.
