Scripps Health (San Diego, Calif.). As a private, nonprofit integrated health system, Scripps Health includes four hospitals on five campuses and more than 3,000 affiliated physicians. The integrated network also supports home health care, hospice care and 28 outpatient centers and clinics. Ellen Browning Scripps founded the system in 1924 as a 44-bed hospital and metabolic clinic. Last year, the Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District affiliated with the Scripps Health Network.
