QS World University Rankings has named University of Pennsylvania the world's best nursing university four years in a row. 

Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport, Calif., was named the top hospital for nurses to work, according to rankings from Nurse Journal.

Hawaii is home to the fewest preventable hospitalizations in the nation per 100,000 Medicare patients, whereas West Virginia most exceeds the national average of 2,770.

Five of U.S. News & World Report's 2023-24 Honor Roll hospitals were also listed on Healthgrades' 2023 "America's 50 Best Hospitals" list.

Nationally, the rate of hospital CEO turnover in 2022 was 16 percent, according to the American College of Healthcare Executives.

The top three states with the most hospitals with five CMS stars for quality and patient experience are Texas with nine, Wisconsin with eight and Oklahoma with five, according to recent data from CMS.
