The 68th Fortune 500 was released May 23. The annual list of the largest corporations in the U.S. ranked by revenue for the 2021 fiscal year includes 77 healthcare companies.

The rate at which people are leaving their places of employment varies across the country, with Alaska leading the nation and New York lagging. 

Huntsville, Ala., is the best place to live in America, according to U.S. News & World Report, which analyzed the 150 most populous metropolitan areas based on value, desirability, job market and quality of life.

The Lown Institute, a nonpartisan healthcare think tank, released its ranking May 17 of the best hospitals in the U.S. for avoiding overuse of low-value tests and procedures.

West Virginia leads the nation for healthcare employment as a percent of total employment, while Nevada is last. 

NYU Langone Health Tisch Hospital in New York City is the No. 1 teaching hospital by net patient revenue, according to Definitive Healthcare. 

DiversityInc included 16 organizations on its 2022 list of top hospitals and health systems for diversity.

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute in Madison have released their 2022 County Health Rankings.
