Munson Medical Center (Traverse City, Mich.). Munson Medical Center is a 391-bed nonprofit hospital. Munson Medical Center is the largest of the eight Munson Healthcare system hospitals located throughout northern Michigan. It is the only Level II trauma center north of Grand Rapids, Mich., and home to the only neonatal intensive care unit in northern Michigan. The hospital was named a HealthStrong Hospital by iVantage Health Analytics this year and also received several awards from Healthgrades.
