Millinocket (Maine) Regional Hospital. Millinocket Regional Hospital opened in its current location in 1955, but its history dates back to 1952 when the hospital corporation was founded. The hospital, located about 130 miles from Augusta, Maine, features a swing bed program as well as outpatient physician services. Last year, the hospital received the Outstanding Health Care Professional Award from the Maine Association of Physician Assistants.
