Houston Methodist Sugar Land (Texas) Hospital. Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital opened in 1998 and has continued to grow ever since. Today, the hospital has 1,500 employees, about 1,000 of which live in Sugar Land, Missouri City, Stafford or other Fort Bend County communities. Houston Methodist Sugar Land was named a 100 Top Hospital by Truven Health Analytics in 2015. The hospital has also received the 2015 Patient Safety Excellence Award, along with two Specialty Excellence Awards, from Healthgrades.
