To select the 2019 Women’s Care Awards recipients, Healthgrades analyzed 2015-17 patient outcomes data for hospitals in 15 states. See below for a breakdown of Healthgrades’ three Women’s Care Awards for 2019:
Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence Award
- 64 hospital recipients recognized out of 630 eligible facilities.
- Patients receiving care at winning hospitals had a 33.4 percent lower risk of complications, on average.
Labor and Delivery Excellence Award
- 104 hospital recipients recognized out of 1,035 eligible facilities.
- Patients receiving care at winning hospitals had a 39.2 percent lower risk of complications, on average.
Gynecologic Surgery Excellence Award
- 70 hospital recipients recognized out of 699 eligible facilities.
- Patients receiving care at winning hospitals had a 43.5 percent lower risk of complications, on average.
