The neurology department at Brigham and Women’s was established in 1913. More than 100 providers staff the department, including 18 surgeons and 17 residents from Boston-based Harvard Medical School. For 2017, CareChex ranked Brigham and Women’s the No. 2 hospital in Massachusetts for spinal surgery.
