Valhalla, N.Y.-based Westchester Medical Center Health Network has named William Moore, MD, chair of its department of radiology, effective Feb. 1, 2027. He will also serve as chair of the department of radiology at Valhalla-based New York Medical College.
Dr. Moore joins WMCHealth and NYMC from New York City-based NYU Langone Health, where he serves as professor of radiology and vice chair of informatics in the department of radiology, according to an Oct. 29 news release.
At NYU Langone, Dr. Moore helped integrate imaging operations across the health system and previously served as section chief of thoracic imaging. Under his leadership, the thoracic imaging section grew to approximately two dozen faculty members and managed more than 400 CT examinations and 1,000 chest X-rays each day.
His work has also included major technology implementations, systems integration, computer-aided diagnostics and the application of artificial intelligence to improve diagnostic accuracy, workflow and operational efficiency. He also helped expand lung biopsy services and establish a lung ablation program.
