Fredericksburg, Va.-based Mary Washington Healthcare has selected Medical Center Radiologists to provide inpatient and outpatient imaging services across the health system beginning Feb. 1, 2027.
Medical Center Radiologists will oversee radiology services at Mary Washington Hospital, Stafford Hospital and the health system’s outpatient imaging centers, according to a July 23 news release. The organizations said the transition will not disrupt imaging services, including mammography and women’s health services, or affect staffing because imaging employees will remain employed by Mary Washington Healthcare.
Medical Center Radiologists is one of Virginia’s largest radiology groups, with more than 90 radiologists and physician assistants. The organizations said they plan to collaborate on physician education and training, including support for a proposed new medical school, residency and fellowship programs, and new radiology training initiatives aimed at strengthening the long-term pipeline of imaging specialists in the Fredericksburg region.
