Salt Lake City-based University of Utah Health has named David Larson, MD, chair of the department of radiology and imaging sciences in the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine, effective Sept. 14.
Dr. Larson will join University of Utah Health from Stanford University, where he served in several leadership roles over the past decade, including executive vice chair and acting chair of the department of radiology, according to a June 3 news release.
He currently serves as medical director of improvement for Palo Alto, Calif.-based Stanford Health Care and director of the Stanford Radiology AI Development and Evaluation Lab. His work has focused on quality, safety, operational excellence and innovation in healthcare.
