UPMC Williamsport (Pa.) has completed a newly renovated and relocated interventional radiology suite backed by an investment of more than $8 million, according to a June 23 report from The Standard-Journal.
The upgraded suite includes two interventional radiology labs equipped with next-generation imaging systems that allow clinicians to visualize blood vessels and internal structures in real time. The technology supports image-guided procedures used to diagnose and treat conditions without traditional open surgery.
UPMC, based in Pittsburgh, told the publication the new suite expands procedural capacity and supports growth across multiple specialties, including vascular care and other minimally invasive treatments.
