Plantation Fla.-based Akumin’s CEO and CFO are stepping down as the radiology provider names a new CEO.
Krishna Kumar was appointed CEO in February 2024 and is vacating the post effective immediately, according to a March 31 company news release.
Mr. Kumar is succeeded by Henry Howe, who most recently served as interim CEO and CFO at Envision Healthcare Corp.
“The board is proud of Akumin’s accomplishments over the past year and is excited about the future,” Bill Theofilou, chairman of the board, said in the release. “We look forward to benefiting from Henry’s expertise and experience as we position the company for long-term success by focusing on quality patient care and operational excellence for our partners and our people.”
Also stepping down in 2025 is Juan Perez, CFO. He will continue in his current role until a successor is found.
Akumin provides advanced imaging and radiation oncology to over 1,000 healthcare providers and physician groups, including 23 of the top 30 health systems, according to the company.
