The “Wage and Salary Survey 2024,” conducted in August, included responses from 19,687 radiologic technologists about their annual wage increases since 2022. Of respondents, 18,158 reported being employed in the radiologic sciences.
The survey revealed that wages increased across all major disciplines in medical imaging and radiation therapy over the past two years.
Below are the wage increases for nine types of technologists and their new average salaries:
- Nuclear medicine technologists: 20.2% increase, new average wage of $106,475
- Vascular interventional technologists: 13.6% increase, new average wage of $95,317
- Sonographers: 13.2% increase, new average wage of $93,237
- MRI technologists: 12.5% increase, new average wage of $92,729
- CT technologists: 12.3% increase, new average wage of $87,785
- Computed radiography technologists: 12.3% increase, new average wage of $73,274
- Mammographers: 11.5% increase, new average wage of $88,468
- Cardiac interventional technologists: 10.4% increase
- Radiation therapists: 7.2% increase
