The American Academy of Physician Associates voted in May to recognize Physician Associates of Radiology as a specialty organization, Radiology Business reported June 1.

The recognition gives PAIR members a seat at the APPA’s table, allowing more radiology support staff to engage in efforts for patient care, continuing education requirements and professional standards.

PAIR will launch on July 1, according to its website. The organization plans to provide specialty-specific education, professional development and advocacy for professionals working in the radiology space, including physicians assistants and registered radiology assistants.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
