Oklahoma City-based OU Health has named Javier Villanueva-Meyer, MD, clinical service chief of radiology.
Dr. Villanueva-Meyer was also appointed chair of the department of radiological sciences at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, according to a June 23 news release from OU Health.
He currently serves as associate professor of radiology; vice chair of quality and technology in the department of radiology and biomedical imaging; and medical director for radiology quality and safety at San Francisco-based UCSF Health.
Dr. Villanueva-Meyer succeeds Anthony Alleman, MD, as chair, and David Teague, MD, who served as interim chair, the release said.
