New York City-based NYU Langone Health opened a new imaging and specialty care facility in Riverhead, N.Y., on March 12.
The 25,000-square-foot site includes 13,000 square feet dedicated to diagnostic imaging services such as MRI, CT, X-ray, breast cancer screening and bone density testing, according to a March 12 news release. The remaining 12,000 square feet houses specialty care offerings in cardiology, orthopedics, pulmonology, rheumatology and other clinical areas.
The site joins a growing cluster of NYU Langone locations in the area, including two other ambulatory care sites, a cancer center, a neurology practice and rehabilitation services. NYU Langone leaders said the expansion strengthens access to coordinated care on the East End of Long Island.
The system opened six outpatient practices in Suffolk County last year and plans to launch an ambulatory surgery center in Patchogue, N.Y., this summer.
