MedStar radiology chief tapped to lead medical society

Saher Sabri, MD, was appointed president of the Society of Interventional Radiology on April 14 at the organization’s annual meeting in Toronto. 

Dr. Sabri serves as chief of interventional radiology at Columbia, Md.-based MedStar Health and division chief of interventional radiology at Washington, D.C.-based MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.

Kelvin Hong, MD, executive vice chair of radiology at Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine, was appointed president-elect of the society’s board of directors, according to an April 14 news release.
