Burke Rehabilitation anticipates serving an average of 300 patients per year with the new suite, which it expects to begin construction of in the fall, according to a Jan. 9 news release from the hospital.

The suite will streamline and expedite care by allowing patients to receive imaging in-house, avoiding delays associated with transport to other medical facilities.

“This improvement not only saves time but also has the potential to save lives by enabling the rapid diagnosis and treatment of suspected or confirmed brain bleeds,” the release said.

The hospital expects the suite to be fully operational by the winter.
