The data comes from the latest American College of Radiology and Radiology Business Management Association workforce survey.
Here are four more things to know from the study:
- Among rank-and-file pediatric radiologists, 96% said they were allowed to telework during the day and 90% said they were allowed to telework at night.
- When combined, the average income of decision-making and rank-and-file pediatric radiologists was $495,000.
- Ten percent of rank-and-file pediatric radiologists said they were planning to retire by the end of 2024.
- Nurse practitioners and physician assistants were utilized by 54% of decision-making pediatric radiologists. Radiology assistants were utilized by 23%.
