WHO declared the Zika virus and the subsequent birth defect linked to the virus a Public Health Emergency of International Concern earlier this month.
The new Q&A includes answers to questions about how women can protect themselves from a Zika infection, where they should avoid traveling and whether they can breastfeed if they are infected with Zika.
WHO also included links to information and advice for the general public, healthcare providers and policy makers throughout the Q&A.
