Beth Zborowski, the director of communications for the WSHA, told Paul Levy, former president and CEO of Boston-based Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and author of the blog “Not Running a Hospital,” the website now includes tips for patients who are going to the hospital as well as a “visual indicator highlighting the ‘opportunity gap’ between performance and the goal for each metric.”

Hospitals in Washington State have been publishing quality data online since 2007, but the redesign was aimed at making the data easier to understand and creating a platform that can include more quality measurements in the future, according to the website.
