Two California Hospitals Report C. Diff Outbreaks

San Francisco General Hospital and California Pacific Medical Center, both in San Francisco, have reported outbreaks of C. difficile, according to a San Francisco Examiner news report.

CPMC reported two weeks ago that 10 patients were positive for the infection. All the patients have since recovered after they were relocated and their rooms were disinfected. San Francisco General also experienced an outbreak, though details of the outbreak have not yet been disclosed to the public.
