The following hospitals in Florida have the highest proportion of patients who reported on their HCAHPS survey that yes, they would definitely recommend the hospital.

The figures are from CMS’ Hospital Compare website and represent HCAHPS scores collected between July 2014 and June 2015.

For reference, the average rate of hospital recommendation in Florida is 69 percent, slightly lower than the national average of 71 percent.

Note: Hospitals with fewer than 100 completed patient surveys were excluded from the data sorting process.

1. Mayo Clinic (Jacksonville) — 93 percent

2. Mariners Hospital (Tavernier) — 88 percent

3. Viera Hospital (Melbourne) — 87 percent

4. Gulf Breeze (Fla.) Hospital — 86 percent

5. Baptist Medical Center Nassau (Fernandina Beach) — 86 percent
