Optum’s Centers of Excellence networks recognize providers that are clinically superior and offer cost-effective care for cancer, bariatric surgery, congenital heart disease, dialysis, infertility, orthopedics, cell and gene therapy, women’s health services, and transplants. Optum also maintains transplant centers of excellence networks for Medicare and Medicaid enrollees, along with pediatric networks for each.
The company conducts an annual evaluation process alongside a national panel of industry experts to assess providers across the country, which offers patients a wide range of benefits, including more accurate diagnoses, higher survival rates, and lower out-of-pocket costs.
