Study: Multidrug-Resistant Organisms Less Likely With Hydrogen Peroxide Vapor Disinfection

Using hydrogen peroxide vapor to disinfect a room previously occupied by a patient with a multidrug-resistant organism decreases the likelihood of acquiring an MDRO, according to a study in Clinical Infectious Diseases.

Researchers studied MDROs on six high-risk units in a 994-bed tertiary care hospital.
