St. Luke’s Baptist Hospital doubles NICU capacity for preemies

To expand care for premature infants, San Antonio, Texas-based St. Luke’s Baptist Hospital doubled the capacity of its neonatal intensive care unit, KSAT reports.

The hospital doubled its 18-bed capacity to treat more babies who need critical care. The expansion will let specially trained physicians and nurses care for infants who are born prematurely, with low birth weight, birth defects or illnesses.

All five Baptist Health System hospitals with labor and delivery services have a NICU.
