The reauthorization was part of a larger piece of legislation, the Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Act Reauthorization of 2011 (S. 1855), which would also reauthorize the Emergency System for Advance Registration of Volunteer Health Professionals, the Medical Reserve Corps and other activities relating to emergency preparedness through 2016, according to the report.
The legislation will now be reconciled with a House-version of the bill.
