The new center will research the relationship between nutrition and health nationwide and will bring together experts in nutrition, public policy, pharmacy, exercise science, genetics, agriculture and health sciences.
The 80,000-square-foot IFNH facility will house research laboratories, clinical research facilities, a human performance center, preschool education and a conference center.
The IFNH is supported by a $36 million grant from the state of New Jersey, a $10 million grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and a $10 million endowed research fund from an anonymous donor, according to a news release.
The project will be completed by summer 2015.
