Over the next five years, the funding will be used to create the Medication-Assisted Treatment — Prescription Drug and Opioid Addiction program and build bridge clinics at Newark (N.J.) Beth Israel Medical Center and Belleville, N.J.-based Clara Maass Medical Center.
“We are thrilled to be awarded this grant funding which will enable us to establish a bridge clinic, increasing access to medication for opioid use disorder and enhancing our ability to encourage patients to enter and remain in treatment,” Connie Greene, senior vice president for RWJBarnabas Health Institute for Prevention and Recovery, said in a Sept. 24 news release.
