The report also includes some short-term recommendations that address some of the immediate concerns and challenges for the upcoming H1N1 flu season as well as some long-term recommendations for improving the country’s capacity for preparing for health emergencies. These include vaccination campaigns, an emergency sick leave benefit, waiver of co-pays for vaccinations by health insurance companies and the development of public health campaigns on hygiene and symptoms and remedies.
