Of the four overdoses, which occurred between Jan. 3 and Jan. 13, three were revived with naloxone and one died.
“Members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office have saved over 25 lives from opioid overdose since the naloxone program began just over two years ago,” said Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran. “While I am grateful for the lives saved we are currently in an opioid epidemic and are losing far too many lives to opioids.”
According to the CDC, opioids killed more than 33,000 people in 2015, marking an all-time high.
