Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Illinois Presents New Pediatric Unit

Advocate South Suburban Hospital in Hazel Crest, Ill., has opened a new pediatric unit — the first dedicated pediatric unit at the hospital in at least five years, according to a Southtown Star report.

The new unit includes 12 beds, treatment rooms and an activity room. The unit was modeled after Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn, Ill., and staff members were trained at the children’s hospital.
