Here are three things to know.
1.The containers, which function like a kiosk, are aimed at getting unused opioids out of people’s homes.
2. CVS Health also donated disposal container sites to police departments in various cities.
3. The CVS Health Foundation is also donating $85,000 to the Baltimore-based community health center Total Health Care to further strengthen the center’s substance abuse treatment programs and services.
“We are committed to addressing and preventing opioid abuse through our support of the work that organizations like Total Health Care do to promote addiction recovery, which directly aligns with our purpose of helping people on their path to better health,” said Tom Davis, vice president of professional services for CVS Health.
