Clorox expands clean water initiative

The Clorox Company is expanding The Safe Water Project, a public health initiative that provides bleach dispensers and health education for rural Peruvians.

The project is now set to provide 400,000 liters of drinking water to 25,000 Peruvians each day.

The company is also launching a Twitter-powered water fountain at South by Southwest Eco 2014, which will dispense water based on the level of tweets with the hashtag #safewaterproject. For each person who tweets, Clorox will donate $1 to its Peruvian water initiative, up to $20,000.
