800 people attend annual fair for health-related screenings

The annual Health Fair: The Way to Wellness event last week in Hollywood, Md., saw a turn out of nearly 800 people earlier this month, according to a Southern Maryland News Net report.

The event was organized by the St. Mary’s County Department for the Aging and offered a wide array of health-related screenings, including leg and vein, skin cancer, blood pressure, hearing, vision and fall assessment.

Attendees were also able to leave with education material on health topics such as Alzheimer’s, nutrition, media equipment, diabetes, counseling, fitness, mental health and more.
