Research by the Southern California-RAND Evidence-based Practice Center identified 10 evidence-based patient safety practices that should be “strongly encouraged” for adoption and an additional 12 that should be “encouraged” for adoption. This research aligns with the nine elements of healthcare ACPE believes are necessary for successful health reform, according to the release:
