The resource, titled “Transforming Health Care: A Compendium of Reports from the National Patient Safety Foundation’s Lucian Leape Institute,” was released at the 18th Annual NPSF Patient Safety Congress this week in Scottsdale, Ariz.
The content of the compendium focuses on the following five key patient safety areas:
- Care integration
- Greater transparency at all care continuum levels
- Patient and family engagement
- Reform of medical education
- Restoring joy and meaning in work, including workforce safety
“We urge healthcare leaders to use this resource to assess where their organizations stand in the journey to safer care and to help map out how they can accelerate their progress,” said NPSF President and CEO Tejal K. Gandhi, MD.
