Patient safety tool: APIC fliers show proper use of procedure masks, N95 respirators

The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology has released two fliers demonstrating to “dos” and “don’ts” of using procedure masks and N95 respirators, according to Safety + Health, the official magazine of the National Safety Council Congress and Exposition.

The fliers were created by APIC’s Communications and Practice Guidance committees, with assistance from the American Nurses Association, the Association of Occupational Health Professionals in Healthcare and the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses.
