Patient exposed to Ebola to be admitted to NIH Clinical Center today

The National Institutes of Health expects to admit a patient today who has been exposed to the Ebola virus.

The patient, a nurse, will be admitted to NIH Clinical Center’s special clinical studies unit for observation and will be enrolled in a clinical protocol.

The nurse has been volunteering in an Ebola treatment unit in Sierra Leone.
