Exeter Hospital reported a possible hepatitis C outbreak related to its cardiac catheterization lab May 31.
The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services Division of Public Health Services is testing patients who were treated at the cardiac cath lab after Oct. 1, 2010. The department is sending samples from all patients who tested positively to the CDC for independent validation.
The investigation of the outbreak is ongoing.
