14 hospitals seeking CNOs

Some of the nation’s largest health systems are recruiting chief nursing officers to lead hospital- and regional-level operations.

Below are 14 hospitals that have recently posted CNO job openings. 

Note: This is not an exhaustive list. Listings were compiled from job-seeker websites and include job posts published over the past several weeks. 

  1. Cincinnati-based Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a chief nurse for its Anderson Hospital in Forestville, Ohio. 
  1. South Brooklyn Health —part of New York City-based NYC Health + Hospitals — is hiring a CNO. 
  1. Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a system-level chief nursing informatics officer and associate vice president to oversee informatics strategy. 
  1. Evansville, Ind.-based Deaconess Health System is hiring a CNO to oversee its Indiana region. 
  1. Harlingen (Texas)  Medical Center is hiring a chief nurse. The hospital is part of Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare.

  2. Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, also part of Prime Healthcare, is hiring a CNO.

  3. Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital in Michigan is hiring a chief nurse.

  4. Trinity Health Chelsea Hospital in Michigan seeks a CNO and vice president of clinical services.

  5. Kessler Rehabilitation Hospital in Chester, N.J., is hiring a chief nurse. The facility is part of Mechanicsburg, Pa.-based Select Medical, which operates 30 medical rehab hospitals nationwide.

  6. Select Medical is also hiring a CNO for its Select Specialty/Regency Hospitals division, which provides critical illness recovery services.

  7. Tucson, Ariz.-based Northwest Healthcare seeks a chief nurse for its Oro Valley Hospital.

  8. Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Salem, Ind., is hiring a chief nursing officer.

  9. Birmingham, Ala.-based Encompass Health is hiring a CNO for one of its rehabilitation hospitals.

  10. Unity Center for Behavioral Health in Portland, Ore., seeks a chief nurse. The inpatient psychiatric facility is part of Legacy Health, also based in Portland.
