The nurse hadn’t reported to work as scheduled. A hospital security guard later discovered her body in her car.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the woman’s cause of death. There was no preliminary evidence to suggest foul play, and no medical issue was immediately apparent, according to Pacer Cordry, a Canton Police Department spokesperson.
The nurse will not be publicly identified until police notify her family.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of our own,” Northside Hospital spokesperson Katerine Watson told The Patch. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the nurse’s family, friends and co-workers.”
